A self-taught florist, Kaitlyn started out as a student of beauty in all its forms: fashion, architecture, oil paintings, and interior design, to name a few.
During a season of event organizing she stumbled into flowers, captivated by their rich sculptural forms and the infinite possibility of manipulating them the way an artist shapes paint on canvas. Word got around, and friends started requesting her skills at weddings, showers, and events. After a brief stint in journalism, her floral skills and passion entered the professional realm when she purchased Bluebird & Co. in December of 2024.
Kaitlyn's greatest joy in floristry is to translate intangible concepts into tangible results, drawing out her clients' personality, tastes, and vision and reflecting that in her work. She's unwaveringly dedicated to excellence, willing to do whatever it takes to serve well, cheerfully.
When not brainstorming with clients, hunting through flower markets for the best product, or arranging her designs, she's fueling her creativity and inspiration through her ever-growing gamut of interests, including travel, history, collecting David Austin roses, and helping design and build her family’s European-style timber frame home.
